Paula Y. Banks

Paula Y. Banks is an award-winning author, speaker, publisher, and the founder of EION Books Publishing. She writes stories that help people find the courage to tell their own, whether she is encouraging children to discover the power of storytelling or reminding women that obedience doesn't require perfection.

After publishing her first children's book at 46, Paula has gone on to write multiple books, develop storytelling programs used in schools and communities, and create resources that help parents, educators, and aspiring authors build confidence through story.

Her work has been featured in schools, conferences, podcasts, and media outlets, where she speaks on storytelling, literacy, identity, and the courage to begin before you feel ready.

Her latest book, Unqualified for the Yes: A Season of Surrender and Identity, shares the deeply personal journey that changed the way she viewed calling, confidence, and what it means to trust God before having all the answers.

When she's not writing, Paula can usually be found creating new ways to help people build something that lasts, spending time with her family, or enjoying a good cup of coffee while planning her next big idea.

She lives in Virginia with her husband, Charles, and is the mother of two grown sons, Elijah and Zion.
